1. Quarter Overview

During the fourth quarter, River strengthened his understanding of measurement, grammar usage, safety awareness, and civic responsibility. He applied academic skills to real-life contexts such as measuring objects at home, using pronouns in conversations, identifying safety rules, and participating in community-related discussions. His independence, reasoning skills, and confidence continued to grow.

🔢 MATHEMATICS – Quarter 4

Based on DepEd Grade 2 MELCs (Q4):

Competencies Covered:

  • Telling and writing time in minutes (including a.m. and p.m.)

  • Solving problems involving elapsed time

  • Measuring length in meters and centimeters

  • Estimating and measuring mass (grams/kilograms)

  • Measuring capacity (mL and L)

  • Finding area using square tiles

  • Interpreting pictographs with and without scale

Progress Reflection:

River demonstrates strong real-life application skills. He enjoys hands-on measuring activities and can explain his reasoning when solving word problems.


🇵🇭 FILIPINO – Ikaapat na Markahan

Based on DepEd Grade 2 MELCs (Q4):

Kompetensiyang Natutuhan:

  • Pagpapantig ng mas mahahabang salita

  • Pagbasa ng mga salitang madalas makita sa paligid

  • Paggamit ng mga salitang kilos sa usapan

  • Pagbibigay ng kahulugan sa salita gamit ang kasingkahulugan at kasalungat

  • Paggamit ng mga pang-ukol (ni/nina, kay/kina, para sa, ayon sa, ukol sa)

  • Pagbuo ng payak na pangungusap na may wastong ugnayan ng simuno at panag-uri

  • Pagbibigay ng angkop na pamagat sa teksto

Pag-unlad:

River:

  • Nakababasa ng mas mahahabang salita nang may wastong pagpapantig.

  • Nakagagamit ng salitang kilos sa pangungusap.

  • Nakabubuo ng maayos na pangungusap.

  • Nakapagbibigay ng tamang pamagat batay sa pangunahing ideya ng teksto.

  • Naiintindihan ang gamit ng pang-ukol sa pangungusap.

River shows improved reading fluency and sentence construction in Filipino.


📖 ENGLISH – Quarter 4

Competencies Covered:

  • Reading words with short vowel sounds (CVC and 2-syllable words)

  • Using personal pronouns (I, you, he, she, it, we, they)

  • Using demonstrative pronouns (this, that, these, those)

  • Using common prepositions (on, under, over, to, from, above)

  • Answering Who, What, Where questions

  • Writing simple sentences using short vowel words

Learning Evidence:

River:

  • Reads short stories with improved fluency.

  • Uses correct pronouns in conversations.

  • Identifies prepositions in sentences.

  • Writes short paragraphs using correct grammar.

  • Answers comprehension questions accurately.

Progress Reflection:

River demonstrates growing independence in reading comprehension. His grammar usage has improved, particularly in pronoun and preposition use.


💖 GMRC – Quarter 4

River:

River shows maturity in understanding safety and personal responsibility. He applies values learned to real-life situations.

🌍 Araling Panlipunan (Q4 MELCs)

Competencies Covered:

  • Understanding rights and responsibilities as a member of the community

  • Identifying community services

  • Appreciating cooperation and unity

River:

  • Explains that rights come with responsibilities.

  • Identifies services provided by the community.

  • Demonstrates appreciation for cooperation.

He connects lessons about community roles to family life.


🤸 PE (Physical Education)

  • Performs movement activities with family during regular pickleball matches, Practices Tennis regulargy

  • Maintains correct posture and coordination.

  • Follows instructions in movement-based tasks.

River demonstrates improved coordination and discipline in following movement routines.


🎵 Music

  • Distinguishes slow/faster tempo.

  • Identifies single vs multiple musical lines (texture).

  • Participates in singing activities confidently.

River enjoys tempo-based activities and responds well to rhythm exercises.


🎨 Arts

  • Creates posters using art materials

  • Demonstrates abstract interpretation of the quotes given

River completed a balanced 3D project using found materials and explained his design process.


🩺 Health

  • Identifies safe and unsafe kitchen and bbq practices.

  • Follows safety rules during activities.

  • Recognizes warning labels.

River applies health and safety lessons in daily routines.

River has grown academically and emotionally this quarter. His ability to apply math and grammar in real-life situations stands out. He demonstrates independence, discipline, and curiosity. He shows a strong understanding of responsibility, both academically and socially.
