1. Overview

This quarter, River explored deeper concepts in language, math, emotions, family relationships, and creative expression. He connected lessons to real-life situations and showed maturity in expressing feelings and solving problems independently.


2. Subject Progress


🇵🇭 Filipino – Ikatlong Markahan

MELCs Covered:

  • Wastong gamit ng pangngalan para sa tao, bagay, hayop, pook at pangyayari

  • Paggamit ng mga salitang pamalit sa ngalan ng tao (ako, ikaw, siya, tayo, sila)

  • Pag-uugnay ng sanhi at bunga sa binasang talata o kuwento

  • Paglalarawan ng tauhan batay sa kilos, sinasabi, at katangian

  • Pagpapahayag ng sariling ideya/damdamin tungkol sa napakinggang kuwento

  • Pag-uugnay ng binasa sa sariling karanasan

Progress:
River confidently identifies characters, settings, and cause-effect relationships in Filipino stories. He uses “ako, ikaw, siya, sila” correctly in sentences and expresses his own feelings after listening to a story. His storytelling has more detail and coherence this quarter.


📖 English – 3rd Quarter

MELCs Covered:

  • Using clues to answer questions and justify predictions

  • Recognizing synonyms and antonyms

  • Identifying whether a text is “real” or “made-up”

  • Identifying important details in expository text

  • Retelling events from stories

  • Joining choral reading and echo reading

  • Listening and responding to clarify meanings

Progress:
River improved in predicting story outcomes using pictures and titles. He distinguishes fact vs fiction and identifies key details in short informational texts. His retelling skills have greatly improved, showing better flow and vocabulary.


🔢 Math – Quarter 3

MELCs Covered:

  • Visualizing and representing division (equal sharing, repeated subtraction, number line)

  • Division facts for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10

  • Mental division

  • Understanding multiplication and division as inverse operations

  • Solving routine and non-routine division word problems

  • Understanding unit fractions (½, ⅓, ¼, etc. up to denominator 10)

  • Comparing and ordering similar fractions

Progress:
River learned division through hands-on activities (grouping objects, sharing snacks). He now recognizes division as the “opposite” of multiplication. He identifies simple fractions from real-life objects like pizza and chocolate bars. He can compare which fraction is bigger or smaller.


💖 GMRC – 3rd Quarter (Integrated with Health)

MELCs Covered:

  • Healthy habits in the family

  • Showing positive and respectful ways to express feelings

  • Practicing self-control and managing negative emotions

  • Respecting the feelings and differences of others

Progress:
River demonstrated growth in emotional management. He learned healthy ways to express anger, sadness, and disappointment. He practices saying “I feel…” statements and listens respectfully to others. He participates more in family routines and shows responsibility in small tasks.


🇵🇭 Makabansa – 3rd Quarter (PE, Music, Arts, Health Concepts)

PE (Physical Education)

  • Moving with different time (slow/fast), force (light/strong), and flow

  • Responding to sound and music

  • Coordinated movement activities

Progress: River confidently demonstrates slow vs fast movements and enjoys movement games with music.

Music

  • Identifying sources of sound

  • Recognizing musical instruments

  • Differentiating speaking vs singing voice

  • Performing songs with correct vocal quality

Progress: River identifies instruments by sound and sings with clearer pitch control.

Arts

  • Printmaking using repeated, alternated, or contrasting patterns

  • Using natural and man-made materials for prints

  • Creating patterned artwork

Progress: River created beautiful repeated prints using leaves and cut-out shapes. He understands repetition and alternation in patterns.

River shows:

  • Patience when solving math problems

  • Honesty during recitations

  • Respect when listening to stories

  • Responsibility in doing household tasks

  • Empathy toward siblings when they feel sad


5. Reflection

Parent Reflection:

“This quarter, River has shown emotional maturity and responsibility. He understands cause and effect in stories much better and enjoys division because he sees it in real life (sharing food, toys, etc.). His creativity in arts is blooming, and he shows discipline in PE activities.”

Student Reflection:

“I liked learning division because it feels like sharing. I liked making leaf prints and singing new songs. I want to learn more stories next month.”
